We follow the bend round from the last picture on the previous page, where the line begins to
straighten out to meet the double-track from Ebbsfleet. In this view from 9th April 2007, the
rear of a London-bound Trans Manche Super Train formation is captured. David Glasspool

Moving on from the previous picture, this eastward view shows an unusual divergence of the
running lines, as the ''down'' track assumes an elevated course before meeting the Ebbsfleet
tracks. A netting, supported on either side by scaffolding, has also appeared over the lines,
which I have been informed by a couple of website visitors is to allow renewal of the above
National Grid power cables. David Glasspool

Another London-bound view, again on 9th April 2007, shows the tight curve negotiated between
Southfleet and Southfleet Junction. When the route through Ebbsfleet is opened in November,
this line will be mothballed, pending either re-use as a diversionary line or, as increasingly
expected, complete removal. David Glasspool
