Queenborough
Lymington Town Comparison

An unlikely brother in Hampshire. Both Queenborough and Lymington stations were the resultants of
John Cass Birkinshaw. The pitched roofs and window frames of the two structures bear much resemblance
to each other, which provide vital clues for the common influence. Lymington Town is depicted here on 22nd
August 2005. It is admittedly in much better condition than its Sheppey counterpart, the latter now having
boarded up windows. David Glasspool
