Hither Green

A fast forward to 19th April 2006 shows there has been little change to the main line platforms

over the years, since the rebuild. Indeed, there is no longer a footbridge at the ''country'' end of

the platforms (behind the camera) to use. David Glasspool

A London-bound view of the Dartford Loop Line platforms reveals the only structure of SER

origin remaining: the lattice footbridge. This side of the station was rebuilt concurrent with

the main line platforms, but the corrugated metal canopy valances here are from 2003 -

before this, they were fabricated from asbestos. This 19th April 2006 scene also reveals the

vacant space which was once occupied by a third track. David Glasspool

The 1954 concrete platform extensions are obvious in this Dartford-bound view from 19th April

2006, as is the vacant track bed. Hither Green Depot is beyond the vegetation on the right.
