The second entrance on the ''down'' platform can be seen on the left of this view, which shows the

new station building receiving the final sections of external cladding. Class 465 No. 465049 arrives

with a Charing Cross via Woolwich service. David Glasspool

The bus facilities in view replace an inconvenient site situated alongside the main road, below the

railway bridge. Redevelopment of the station has accelerated since the commencement of the

''Fastrack'' bus service. David Glasspool

The old buildings were still in evidence during the redevelopment works, the yellow brickwork

being an SER trademark. The area to the right of the stairs, in line with the elevated building,

is the former site of the Station Master's house. After the March 1999 opening of Bluewater,

dedicated shuttle buses formerly terminated out of view on the right, on the opposite side of
