Class 204 / 205
Hampshire / Berkshire DEMU
Central Division

No. 205001 is now seen departing London Bridge on 13th October 2004 with the return service to Uckfield,
with the classic trainshed forming the backdrop. The trainshed is under threat from development - a nine
storey office block has been planned to replace it, which will see claustrophobic platforms arrive here.

Continuing on from the previous picture, No. 205009 is seen trailing on the rear of the formation.
Between the buffers can be seen the buck-eye coupling and the attachment which follows the profile
of the contemporary main line stock's end gangways. David Glasspool

No. 205009 was also seen at the terminus on an earlier date, this time 15th June 2004. On this occasion
it was pairing with Class 207 No. 207202, which at the time was named ''Brighton Royal Pavilion''. Note
the lack of engine grills on this side of the unit. David Glasspool
