Crashing through the engine shed at
Tunbridge Wells West!
Diane Flynn has submitted this very interesting picture depicting an engine which has come to grief at Tunbridge Wells West. The locomotive has overrun the end of the most northern track of the engine shed and crashed through the end wall, stopping a short distance before the struts of the water tower. Diane is keen to learn more of the incident; if any website visitors have further information on the accident, it would be most gratefully received.
An abrupt stop! This is the scene after the locomotive had lodged itself on the engine shed's
rear wall. Diane Flynn Collection
