Ramsgate

Subways were produced by the LC&DR at Margate, Faversham and Herne Bay, and the SR followed suit at the
new Ramsgate layout. The staircases to either island platform are flanked either side by ornate railings, which
in turn supported overhead lights. David Glasspool

A view across the station from platform 2 gives evidence of the signal box. It is invariably obscured by rolling
stock, parked in the adjacent sidings. Despite modernisation during the Kent Coast Electrification, the cabin
still has control over the yard here. David Glasspool

In the winter evening sunshine, a Class 423 is seen residing alongside Ramsgate Depot on Sunday 8th February
2004. The renewal of the depot roof has resulted in the abandoning of the skylight windows which at one time
were placed in two horizontal rows, one above the other, for the length of the building. David Glasspool
