Cylindrical Tower Architecture
The above image has indeed been extracted from the London Charing Cross section, but it does
help to illustrate a description which would otherwise have become convoluted if expressed exclusively
in word form. Note the elaborate tower-like structure (which functions as part of a theatre) on the far
left, beyond the limits of Hungerford Bridge. If one pictures this as fully circular, with semi-circular
upper window sections, and lacking the roof line valance, the general appearance of the former
Deptford structure is reached. David Glasspool
